Hi,

I have a small POC which fetches youtube video from google(using youtube api) and plays in iFrame in html and i have deployed this on Emulator.
My requirement is to take a screenshot of the video being played using javascript.

Please help me out.

Hi Arun,

Each youtube video has 4 screenshots which are provided already and why don't you use it? Do you have any other purpose?

Regards.

Hey thanks for the reply.
I know google gives thumbnail images.
But i want to take a screenshot for every 15 secs of a playing video so that i can send images to server where i can compare the images.
thats a different story.

Please let me know if there is any way out.

As far as I know you cannot take screenshot with JavaScript, unless you use HTML5 and its Canvas element.
It is possible to grab a frame from video - take a look at this http://html5multimedia.com/code/ch9/video-canvas-screenshot.html

I
think it should be possible with YT video streams as well.
Good luck
