Hi Thomas,

the current specification indeed has no special means by which to acquire a unique ID, outside of the existing methods using e.g. cookies and IP address.

Is it still the case that no API exists for getting the MAC or unique ID directly from the device?

Hi Thomas B,

In case you want something like Device ID or MAC Address, it is out of current spec.

Hello,

I'm new to Smart TV app development and what I'm trying to implement is a simple app that displays/retrieves a unique per Smart TV ID. I'm looking at the API and I haven't found any API call to do this via the SDK is this possible and if yes how? Would be excellent if someone can provide a simple code gist
